Done our project!

On April 23, 2011 Maggie Kiefer and I completed our senior project. We held a bake sale and cook book sale at the Schuylkill Mall from 9-1. We spent the whole day before baking. Our bake sale was a success, but no one was really interested in our cook books. We had various baked goods like: brownies, peanutbutter eggs, rice krispie treats, and other treats. We still have cook books that we are trying to sell, but the money from the bake sale has been sent to NAMI. At our stand we had a poster explaining NAMI and papers with facts about NAMI and how you can help. I will be uploading pictures from the bake sale soon.

post 8

It was difficult for Maggie and I to get together over the past winter sports season due to conflicting schedules. However we have been collecting more receipes and came down to our top 25. We have put together the cookbook and Northwestern Human Services has offered to print them as a donation. We will have our bakesale sometime around Easter at the Schuylkill Mall.

I have met with my advisor. I told him about our ideas for our project and that we could not really work on it now because we have to wait to actually make the food for the bake sale. However, I did tell him that we have looked up recipes and started testing them out.
My partner and I have just changed the name of our cookbook. It is now being called, "Coal Cracker Confections". We feel it is a better suiting name for our cookbook and will help sales.

November 15 and 25 blogs

November 15:
My partner and I have looked up many recipies and recieved many. We have started to do trials for the recipies to see how they really work. We are still working on a title for our cookbook and a date for our baksale.

November 25:
My parner and I still are doing trials on the recipies. We have come up with a name for our book, "Christmas Cookin' for a Cause". We have selected the mall as a a good place to have our bake sale and have gotten in touch with them about a date.

Me and my partner are still looking for a date for our senior project. We are still making the book and have attempted making some of the recipes. We have a few ideas of where and when we can have our project.
Me and my partner were not able to do our senior project on our anticipated date. We just did not have enough time to make all the food and complete the book. We have all of the recipies we want to make. We are developing the final touches for our book like: the title, the order of recipies, and the dedication page. We are looking for a future date to have our stand and books sold.
